It’s been an eventful year, to say the least. There’s certainly been great hardship around the world. Yet new opportunities, new ways of living and working, have also emerged.
We’d like to focus on those. This month, we have features that change how you email and how you communicate online.
HTML-styled emails | Online meeting backgrounds | ID callers not in your contacts
Featured Update: Create an HTML-formatted email without coding
When you’re sending out bulk emails you need some style. The Sansan email function allowed html, but you had to code it yourself.
So we’ve added a long-awaited text formatting tool.
Any Sansan user can now easily edit email fonts, styles, and add images to bulk emails. Event invites, campaigns, seasonal greetings, they’ll all look great.
Just in time for the holidays!
These emails are also laser-focused.
Sansan data is superbly accurate because it’s from business cards. Your emails stand a high chance of reaching their target because the data is up-to-date and correct.
How to use it
1. In Sansan, go to Bulk Email and choose Compose/Edit.

2. Choose the delivery method.

3. Choose HTML and style your text.

Virtual Card, QR code backgrounds
Let’s talk backgrounds.
Zoom, Hangouts/Meet, Skype… you know, those backgrounds.
Your colleagues are probably getting a bit tired of looking at your living room or kitchen. What’s more, if you’re talking with a hot prospect, it’s a bit cheesy to show yourself at the virtual beach.
Problem solved, if you’re a Sansan user.
Now you can not only choose from an array of handsome backgrounds for your online meetings, you can add your Virtual Card QR code so people can swap info with you right then and there!
Here’s how to use them.
Create your own Virtual Card background

From within the Sansan Web App, you can download a virtual background with your Virtual Card QR code in it. Your name, company, and position will also be included in it. It’s like passive PR. It’s also a great conversation starter.
Select the design you like and set it up on Zoom or another platform. (More backgrounds are coming soon!)
Where to find it
- Hover over your name in the menu bar
- Click on Virtual Card.
- Click on QR Code.

What happens when someone scans the QR:
This QR code will take you to your Virtual Card.

Identify callers who aren’t in your personal contacts
Until now, when using Sansan, if someone called you on your mobile you could only identify their number if they were in your contacts.
Now if they’re someone you recently viewed on Sansan, they’ll be identified too.
This is ideal for when you’ve been viewing contacts you’ve recently approached or whom you’re trying to approach.
